OVO is on a mission to create a world powered by clean, affordable energy for everyone. As part of their drive toward Net Zero, they aim to be more than just an energy provider—they want to be a trusted partner, helping customers reduce consumption, embrace green tech, and make more sustainable choices for their homes.

The opportunity
As a primary sponsor of Grand Designs Live, OVO had a prime platform to connect with over 120,000 visitors looking for cutting-edge innovations in home design and sustainability. Their Green Living Advice Zone offered one-on-one consultations with experts, empowering visitors with practical steps to achieve zero-carbon living.

OLD design

The challenge
This was the first real-world application of OVO’s refreshed brand identity, making it a crucial test for how the visual system translated beyond digital and print. The challenge was to ensure that the identity—designed by Wolff Ollins—translated seamlessly from digital and print into an immersive, real-world experience that resonated with visitors.

The solution
Working closely with sketch artist Lee Ellis and copywriter Ryan Hall, the concept for the rebranded stand revolved around the arrival of the OVO square—a bold visual anchor that transformed the space into an engaging environment.

While the physical structure remained unchanged from previous years, the new design injected clean, confident energy. The stand’s bold, optimistic, and straight-talking personality set OVO apart from competitors, many of whom had little to no presence in this commercial space.

The impact
Visitors walked away with a clearer Path to Zero and a strong sense of OVO’s commitment to real change—making sustainability feel accessible to everyone.
